NTPC publishes biomass cofiring tenders periodically across its thermal-plant portfolio. The tender lots are typically sized in lakh tonnes annually per plant, with delivery against month-on-month schedules. Pellet quality specs are tight: ash content, moisture, calorific value and dimensional consistency are all bid against.
For Punjab-based operators, the geography is unusually favourable. The cofiring-eligible NTPC plants in Haryana (Panipat, Yamunanagar) and Uttar Pradesh (Dadri, Anpara, Rihand) are within 200–400 km of Sardulgarh. Road logistics in 25–40 tonne consignments are economic against rail above ~600 km.
Documentation matters as much as quality. NTPC bid documents typically require GST registration, BIS certification of the supplier where applicable, CPCB-compliant emissions documentation from the plant, and a quality-control protocol around moisture and calorific value testing. Our customers' tender preparation pack is on file with the proprietor; we share it on RFQ basis under NDA.
If you're contemplating an NTPC tender bid, the right plant footprint starts at 5 TPH continuous — below that, the dispatch logistics don't work against tender lot sizes. Talk to D Sharma at the Sardulgarh works for plant sizing against your specific tender lot.
