Every tonne of paddy straw pelletized on a Shri Balaji machine is a tonne of stubble that didn't get torched at the field edge. That's the only metric we care about.
The case for biomassThe state told NGT it estimates 19.52 million tonnes of paddy straw this season. 5.96 Mt is earmarked for off-site industrial energy use — that's the volume our pellet plants are designed to consume.
A single 160 kW machine — ring die, three-stage gear deceleration — turns 1.5 to 2 tonnes of agricultural residue into fuel pellets every hour. Comparable to low-grade coal, without the sulphur.
